Empty Legs vs Standard Charter: What’s the Difference?

4 min

Compare empty leg flights with a normal private jet charter. Understand pricing, flexibility, and when each option makes sense.

Empty legs are discounted repositioning flights. They can offer excellent value, but they are limited by repositioning schedules and are less flexible.

Standard charter gives you control: the aircraft flies your exact route, at your preferred time, with full flexibility to adjust details.

Choose an empty leg when a current route and time already fit the trip. Choose standard charter when dispatch needs to source the aircraft around an itinerary that is not available in current empty-leg inventory. Once signed, both are protected charter commitments.
