A model must list enough passenger capacity and enough range for the airport-to-airport great-circle distance plus your selected planning margin. Results are then ranked by balanced fit, smallest capacity, or cruise speed.
Why add a range margin?
Published range is not the same as dispatch range. The added margin makes the initial shortlist stricter, but payload, baggage, reserves, weather, routing, temperature, and runway performance still need operator confirmation.
Does a recommended aircraft mean one is available?
No. A recommendation means the concrete model profile fits the selected planning inputs. It does not represent live fleet position, operator approval, price, or availability.
Can the smallest aircraft always be the cheapest?
No. Positioning, airport access, date, operator minimums, crew, and current market supply can outweigh aircraft size. Use the shortlist to compare mission fit before requesting live pricing.
